In Barack Obama’s own words he stated that if he could not turn this economy around in four years he would be a one-term proposition. He also stated that he would cut the deficit in half, yet we have had four years of trillion-dollar-plus deficits. This morning we found out, again, that we are still at 8% or higher unemployment for 43 straight months. This comes knowing that we were promised by Barack Obama unemployment never higher than 8% with the almost trillion dollar stimulus. We have the lowest workforce participation rate in 31 years…Obama will tout a decrease in unemployment from 8.3% to 8.1%, but that is a scam. We have 368,000 people who have been dropped from the labor accountability rolls. We only added 96,000 jobs to our economy in August.
If America reelects Barack Obama to a second term, we deserve all the pain and misery that will ensue.

Upon introducing each presidential candidate present at CNN’s Southern debate Thursday evening, moderator John King asked Newt Gingrich about his ex-wife’s accusations that they had an “open marriage.” Gingrich was having none of it, however, and in a fiery display, castigated King and “the elite media.”
Asked if he wanted to respond to his ex-wife’s claims, Gingrich blazed, “No. But I will. I think the destructive, vicious, negative nature of much of the news media makes it harder to govern this country.”
He added that this type of negativity prevents “decent people” from seeking public office.

“I am appalled that you would begin a presidential debate on a topic like that!”
“Every person in here knows personal pain, Gingrich elaborated. “To take an ex-wife and make it two days before the primary a significant question in a presidential campaign is as close to despicable as anything I can imagine.”
“I am frankly astounded that CNN would take trash like that and use it to open a presidential debate.”
When King attempted to explain that it was not his network that aired the report, Gingrich would not let him off that easy. Incensed, he roared, “Don’t try to blame anybody else. You and your staff chose to start your debate with it. Let me be clear, the story is false.”
“John, it was repeated by your network. You chose to start the debate with it.”
He added, “The story is false.”
“Every personal friend I have who knew us in that period says the story is false. We offered several of them to ABC to prove it was false. They weren’t interested because they would like to attack any Republican..I am tired of the elite media protecting Barack Obama by attacking Republicans.”
Panetta Warns Israel Is Getting More Isolated, Says Negotiations With Palestinians Must Restart
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta warned Sunday that Israel is becoming increasingly isolated in the Middle East, and said Israeli leaders must restart negotiations with the Palestinians and work to restore relations with Egypt and Turkey.
In a blunt assessment made as he was traveling to Israel, Panetta said the ongoing upheaval in the Middle East makes it critical for the Israelis to find ways to communicate with other nations in the region in order to have stability.
President Obama, in a sweeping address tackling the uprisings in the Middle East and the stalled peace process, on Thursday endorsed Palestinians’ demand for their own state based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war.
The break with longstanding U.S. policy is likely to aggravate the Israelis, who want the borders of any future Palestinian state determined through negotiations. The declaration comes ahead of a meeting in Washington between Obama and visiting Israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu.
