WASHINGTON – Abortion opponents plan to march in Washington in a demonstration that coincides with the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision that created a constitutional, nationwide right to abortion.
Thousands are expected for the noon Friday rally at the National Mall and in front of the Supreme Court.
Organizers say the event will feature former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum. Reps. Chris Smith of New Jersey and Diane Black of Tennessee are also scheduled speakers.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion. Earlier this week, opponents marked the anniversary with workshops, prayers and calls for more limits on abortion rights.
Many streets will be closed for the rally.

Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today He is the Central Figure of the Human Race and the Leader of mankind’s progress. All the Armies that have ever marched, all the Navies that ever sailed, all the Parliaments that ever sat and all the Kings that ever Reigned put together have not affected the life on earth of mankind as Powerfully as that One Solitary Life.

What is happening to this Generation of Americans? Columbine, the Arizona Shooting, the Colorado Shooting, the University Shootings, Virginia Tech, and now Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate ‘Winter Break’ under your ‘Dream Tree’
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

For example, a few years back Walmart stopped allowing their employees to tell customers “Merry Christmas,” They could say “Happy Holidays,” but nothing that had to do with Christmas. That received a major backlash from customers. The following year, employees were once again allowed to tell customers “Merry Christmas.” Usually, though. those who approve of Christmas are not that vocal.
Another consideration is “Political Correctness.” It is just no longer “Politically Correct” for Christianity to be a part of United States’ Society.

Gallup Poll gives Romney 7 Point lead

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney poked fun at himself and at President Barack Obama, telling a white tie and gown crowd at the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner in New York City on Thursday that, “it’s nice to finally relax and wear what Ann and I wear around the house.”
A laid-back Romney joked with the audience throughout his brief address as his rival President Barack Obama looked on. Through much of the evening, he sat just one chair down from the president. Only host Cardinal Timothy Dolan separated them.
Romney wasn’t shy about including Obama in his remarks. Including this zinger:
“Of course we’re down to the final months of the president’s term…As President Obama surveys the Waldorf banquet room, with everyone in white tie and finery, you have to wonder what he’s thinking. So little time, so much to redistribute.”
Romney also jabbed at Obama’s running mate, saying he wished the president had brought Vice President Joe Biden “because he’ll laugh at anything.”
Referring to his “Big Bird” remarks in the first presidential debate, Romney delivered this zinger: “In the spirit of Sesame Street, the president’s remarks tonight are brought to you by the letter ‘O’ and the number 16 trillion.”
On a roll, the Republican pointed out that both candidates have people they rely heavily on. “I have my beautiful wife, Ann, he’s got Bill Clinton,” Romney joked.
Romney looked comfortable and confident on the stage and spoke ahead of the president. Obama appeared to be a good sport as he listened to Romney roast him.
After he was done making fun of himself and his opponent, Romney set his sights on the media with a light-hearted, funny because it’s kind of true, slam.
“I never suggest that the press is biased. I recognize they have their job to do and I have a job to do. My job is to lay out a positive vision for the country, and their job is to make sure no one else finds out about it,” he joked.
He jokingly predicted Friday’s headlines about the charity dinner would read something like, “Obama Embraced by Catholics, Romney Dines With Rich People.”
Romney concluded by saying “there’s more to life than politics,” suggesting that he may disagree with Obama’s politics but harbors no “ill will” towards the president.
“Don’t tell anyone I said so, but our 44th president has many gifts and a beautiful family that would make any man proud,” Romney said.

The white-tie affair raises millions for the Gov. Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation and is organized by the Catholic Archdiocese of New York to benefit needy children.
More than 1,600 were scheduled to attend the dinner. The menu includes poached lobster tail and dark chocolate tropical fruit cadeau. Tickets start at $2,500.
The diocese hopes to raise $5 million in grants this year. Last year it gave out $2 million in grants.

Political commercials using a candidate’s own words to show that someone has changed positions, flip-flopped or lied, is nothing new. However, TheBlaze has discovered a new video that seems to take the idea a few steps further, expanding the :30 second commercial into a short, un-narrated documentary.
The compilation attached here is first product posted online by an amateur video editor. TheBlaze interviewed the project’s creator. The man (who wishes to remain anonymous) told us that he wanted to show his undecided friends (as well as those considering voting for Obama) the stark contrast between what the president has said in the past and what he has said and done in office.
He used clips from previous appearances by President Obama as well as excerpts from various ads and news programs and built something he calls “Words Matter.”
The YouTube description reads:
A short un-narrated documentary that looks at Obama’s first term with regards to transparency, healthcare, taxes, fairness, energy and the national debt – guaranteed to contain information of interest.
The heretofore apolitical unnamed editor describes himself “just a guy in his living room. ” He said that his goal was to get the viewer’s attention for less than fifteen minutes. Mission accomplished — the video runs just 13:27 (including a short promo for “2016” that was tacked onto the end.
