Obama Is About to Give a Huge
Class Warfare Speech
Looking to channel Theodore Roosevelt, President Obama will deliver an economic speech Tuesday and cite the importance of everyone paying their “fair share.”
Obama will travel to Osawatomie, Kansas to make the remarks — the site of the progressive Republican Roosevelt’s “New Nationalism” speech in 1910.

The White House confirmed the Roosevelt connection in a press release, stating, “Just over one hundred years ago, President Teddy Roosevelt came to Osawatomie, Kansas and called for a New Nationalism, where everyone gets a fair chance, a square deal, and an equal opportunity to succeed.”
Obama will “talk about how he sees this as a make-or-break moment for the middle class and all those working to join it,” the statement said. “He’ll lay out the choice we face between a country in which too few do well while too many struggle to get by, and one where we’re all in it together – where everyone engages in fair play, everyone does their fair share, and everyone gets a fair shot.”
Business Insider, which described it as “a huge class warfare speech,” has more on the Obama-Roosevelt connection:
Roosevelt‘s ’New Nationalism’ speech on August 31, 1910 called for new government reforms to level the playing field for average Americans against a class of industrial barons.
“The essence of any struggle for healthy liberty has always been, and must always be, to take from some one man or class of men the right to enjoy power, or wealth, or position, or immunity, which has not been earned by service to his or their fellows,” Roosevelt said. “That is what you fought for in the Civil War, and that is what we strive for now.”
Roosevelt called out special interests who pulled the strings of government — a message we’ll likely hear Obama adopt.
“Class warfare” became a buzzword in September after Obama proposed the “Buffett rule” tax rate on the wealthy. As Republican opposition rang in, Obama responded by declaring, “This is not class warfare. It’s math.” He shifted positions just two days later, saying of the class warfare jab,
“I wear that charge as a badge of honor.”

This is the same exact speech he’s been giving for months! I don’t get it. I totally get why he’s doing it, but I don’t get that anyone would buy into this, and how his approval ratings are still in the 40′s. This election should be a no-brainer…
You are right on RH… (no pun intended). How can the American People not see this for what it is? A Diversion to take attention from his Failed Policies and Record.

I wonder if all this bad press that you guys in red have been working on for the last 4 years will be enough to get another red elected.
You know the real PROBLEM with this country isn’t anything you guys say on this site. And its not anything said on the “BLUE” sites. It’s the fact that people feel so passionately about RED OR BLUE that they forget we’re all one nation. Obama isn’t trying to implement socialism. He’s trying to fix what George F*CKED up! But lets face it, that’s no easy task. The day we do away with political parties is the day I breathe a little easier knowing there is actually hope for this nation. Until then, I’ll let you extremists fight it out amongst yourselves. Funny tho, Muslims are called terrorists for holding such passion within a belief.

He’s trying to fix what George screwed up? Then, how is it that it’s getting worse and not better? And if he took the job to fix things, then maybe he should just do it and stop whining about it. He knew what he was signing on for. When a new CEO is hired in a private firm, does anyone expect the new CEO to whine about what a bad job the last CEO did? Uh, NO. They hired him/her to fix the problem. Period. And if they don’t, they’re out. Period. Gas is up, food is up, taxes on many things are up, housing is in the crapper, and unemployment is still way too high. He’s not doing the job we hired him to do. He needs to be out on his behind, just like any other person in the private sector would be if he/she didn’t perform.
